Behind the Scenes: How Protime Sports Brings ClubID to Life
Behind the Scenes: How the ClubID Process Works
When you see a team take the field in a fully customized kit, what you’re really seeing is more than just a uniform. You’re seeing a brand.
At Protime Sports, our ClubID program is built around that idea: helping clubs create a one-of-a-kind identity that reflects who they are on and off the field. From the first design conversation to the final stitch, every step of the process is handled with care, consistency, and attention to detail.
But what actually goes into creating a fully sublimated ClubID uniform?
Here is a look behind the scenes at how our in-house process turns an idea into a finished product.
It Starts with Your Club Identity
Every ClubID journey begins with a conversation.
We work closely with clubs, coaches, and program directors to understand what makes their organization unique. From colors and logos to values, traditions, and long-term goals, every detail matters.
Whether you are building a new look from scratch or refining an existing brand, our team focuses on creating something that feels true to your club and stays consistent season after season.
This is not about picking from a catalog. It is about building a visual identity that players are proud to wear.
Step 1: Design
Once we understand your vision, our in-house design team gets to work.
Using advanced design tools and years of experience in team apparel, we create custom mockups that bring your ideas to life. This stage is highly collaborative. We refine colors, adjust layouts, review logo placement, and dial in every detail until the design feels right.
Because the design process is handled in-house, we can move quickly, make updates efficiently, and keep the vision consistent from concept to production.
The goal is simple: a clean, professional design that looks as strong on the field as it does on screen.
Step 2: Printing
After the design is approved, the artwork is prepared for production and printed onto specialized sublimation paper.
This step requires precision. Colors, scale, placement, and panel alignment all need to be set up correctly before the design ever reaches the fabric. Each printed sheet is created with the final garment in mind, making sure every part of the uniform is ready for the next stage of production.
Printing is where the digital design begins its transition into a physical product.
Step 3: Sublimation
Sublimation is the core of the ClubID customization process.
Using heat and pressure, the printed design is transferred from the sublimation paper directly into the fabric. Unlike traditional printing, the design does not sit on top of the material. Instead, the ink becomes part of the fabric itself.
That means the finished uniform has:
- No cracking, peeling, or fading over time
- A lightweight, breathable performance feel
- Unlimited color and design flexibility
- Consistent results across every order
This is where the artwork truly comes to life. Colors, patterns, logos, numbers, and design details are permanently embedded into the fabric, creating a fully customized look built for performance.
Step 4: Cutting
Once the fabric has been sublimated, each piece is carefully cut into the panels that will make up the final garment.
This step is critical to the fit, shape, and overall quality of the uniform. Every panel needs to be cut accurately so the design lines up properly and the finished piece comes together the way it was intended.
From sleeves and body panels to collars and other garment details, cutting helps turn the printed fabric into the building blocks of a finished uniform.
Step 5: Sewing
After the panels are cut, the uniform moves to sewing.
This is where the garment takes its final shape. Each piece is assembled by our sewing team, bringing together the design, fabric, and construction into a finished product ready for the field.
Sewing is one of the most important parts of the process because it impacts how the uniform fits, feels, and performs. Every seam, panel, and detail plays a role in creating a product that looks professional and holds up through training, travel, and game day.
Full Control from Start to Finish
One of the biggest advantages of working with Protime Sports is that the ClubID process is handled in-house.
By keeping design, printing, sublimation, cutting, and sewing under one roof, we are able to maintain better control over quality, consistency, and turnaround times.
That allows us to:
- Maintain consistent quality across every order
- Keep club branding accurate from season to season
- Handle adjustments and fill-in orders more efficiently
- Review each piece before it ships
- Support teams with a more reliable production process
For clubs, that means a smoother experience and a uniform program that is built to last.
From Production to Delivery
After production is complete, each order goes through a detailed quality check before being packed and shipped.
For team orders, uniforms can be organized, bagged, and labeled by player or team to make distribution easier for coaches, managers, and administrators. Every step is designed to simplify the process on your end.
From the first mockup to the final delivery, ClubID is built to help clubs save time, stay organized, and create a consistent look across their entire program.
More Than a Uniform
ClubID is more than custom apparel. It is a complete approach to building a professional identity for your club.
With no forced uniform cycles, your custom designs can stay available year after year. That means no unnecessary changes, no outdated styles, and no starting over every season.
Your club can continue building around the same identity while still having the flexibility to add new pieces, refresh details, or expand the program over time.
Why It Matters
At the end of the day, what players wear represents something bigger.
It represents pride. It represents identity. It represents the club, the community, and the people who make it all possible.
By combining in-house design, sublimation production, cutting, sewing, and a commitment to quality, Protime Sports gives clubs the ability to create something truly their own.
That is what ClubID is all about.
