Protime Sports partner Thomas Stanford shares how preparation, performance, and partnership fuel success both in the shop and on the race track.
At Protime Sports, we are always looking to expand beyond the traditional sports landscape and work with athletes, teams, and organizations that share the same passion for competition and performance. While motorsports may not be the first thing that comes to mind when people think of Protime Sports, the dedication, preparation, and teamwork behind racing perfectly align with what we value as a company.
That is what makes our partnership with racer Thomas Stanford such a great fit.
From the Shop to the Track
Competing in Pro Late Models, Thomas brings years of experience, dedication, and professionalism to the track every race weekend. While motorsports may look different from the sports Protime Sports traditionally works in, the same principles apply: preparation, performance, teamwork, and presentation all matter.
For Thomas, racing has been part of his life since childhood.
“My Dad introduced me to racing when I was 6 years old. I took a break when I went to college but have stayed involved in racing for the last 25 years in some capacity.”
After years involved in the sport, Pro Late Model racing became the destination he always had in mind.
“Late Model racing is what I grew up watching and it has always been where I wanted to end up.”
Preparation Before Race Day
While race day is what fans see, Thomas emphasized that success in motorsports starts long before the green flag drops.
“There is an old saying that races are won in the shop.”
Preparation throughout the week is a major part of the process, from tuning and setup to loading equipment and making final adjustments before traveling to the track.
“Most of the time spent in this sport is spent working on the car and making sure you are as prepared as you can be.”
That preparation extends beyond the race car itself.
“I also try to make sure that I am as prepared as the race car. Lots of quality sleep and hydration is needed in the days leading up to a race.”
A Partnership Built Over Time
Thomas’ partnership with Protime Sports began back in 2019 while looking for custom apparel and team gear. Since then, the relationship has continued to grow both at the track and off of it.
He also highlighted the importance of working with a team that understands both branding and performance in motorsports.
“Much of the finances involved with racing comes through marketing partnerships. Working with a team like Protime that genuinely enjoys the sport and what they do is a dream.”
Representing Protime Sports
Representation and presentation are a major part of racing culture, and Thomas takes pride in carrying the Protime Sports brand every weekend.
“I have always enjoyed the opportunity to expand Protime's reach to a different form of sport than is typical while promoting them in a positive manner.”
